Abstract

WVHETHER ANY IDEAL SO gutted as liberal humanism can be given a decent burial, let alone be resurrected, one can well doubt. Its disembowelment by the militant radicals proceeds in campus col-, lisions and in the underground press. In our own field, liberal humanism is being dismembered by a wave of new anthologies of Radical Readings, and most fervidly in the March 1970 number of College English devoted to A Phalanx from the Left.
