Selecting the appropriate chart

Abstract

This article deals briefly with when to use and when not to use eight types of graphs: arithmetic and semi-logarithmic line graphs; column, bar, and pie charts; 100-percent column charts; frequency distribution graphs; and pictorial charts. Each type is illustrated.
