How to prepare inspection reports

Abstract

Inspection reports are used to evaluate a seller's product against the requirements of the purchaser's procurement document. Although the quality of the report depends on the inspector, the use of standardized forms often limits the value of an inspection by restricting the amount and type of information in the report. Twenty criteria are presented as guidelines for inspection report preparation.
