Lawrence Braqq's advice to a lecturer

Abstract

Excerpts from correspondence and publications of Sir Lawrence Bragg have been brought together as a guidebook for `live lectures'. Included are his thoughts on obligation to the audience, timing, holding interest, demonstrating, and talking `on the air'. Particular admonitions are not to read a lecture and not to make unjustified assumptions about the audience's background knowledge.
