Abstract

Mathematical copy editing presents a dual challenge to the technical editor: communication with the typographer and communication with the reader. Nowhere do an editor's efforts play a more important role than in the processing of mathematical copy. Here, is a challenge to his meticulousness, technical knowledge, and organizational ability.
