International news headlines daily narrativize tensions between human activity and ecological cond to problems resulting from the proliferation of plastic products in the world's oceans.Addressing the broad thematic of the rhetorics of risk in the context of environmental issues, this session comprised four presentati attention to the intersection of environmental and national security concerns as types of risks garnering public policy responses.Together, these papers that current discourses of established forms of governance.
