  1. Responsibility—The other Side of the Coin
    Abstract

    This paper discusses a writer's responsibility in terms of the technical craftsmanship represented in his document, and of the writer's responsibility to his audience, his field, and his own professional stature. Craftsmanship is defined as the details of effective writing; examples are given to illustrate its importance to good professional work. Audience responsibility is defined in terms of the message conveyed. Numerous examples are used to illustrate the points emphasized.
