A successful way of organizing a large publications group is described. Included are descriptions of the roles of planners, writers, editors, editorial assistants, illustrators, and managers. When these specialists work together as a team, good documentation can be produced more easily.

This bibliography contains a list of books, journal articles, and other works that should be useful to writers and editors. The 261 references are in three sections — general, business, and technical writing — and range from 1953 through 1981. The entries in each section are alphabetical by author and, if an author published more than one item, chronological by date of publication.

This paper covers the skills necessary to effectively communicate technical information. Practical advice on preparing for and delivering oral presentations is given. Included are selections on understanding yourself and your audience; stating the prerequisite and objective of the presentation; organizing your material; making your own charts; using the overhead projector and chalkboard; tackling preliminary arrangements; and delivering the presentation.
