Effective oral communication for business and the professions

Abstract

This textbook is aimed at both students and people already on the job. Part I, “Communicating: The Nature of Communication,” provides thorough coverage of various communication problems — poor listening, nonverbal messages, language and meaning as barriers, differences in perception, and receiver hostility. Chapter 5 covers content rules (word choice) and procedural rules (methods) of communication.
